Then she tells me that since it didn't work from day-one (because I couldn't get it to program when I got it home) that it is an issue with Guitar Center and is not covered under the warranty (within the first 3 months). I pointed out that this was not what I was told, and she said thet the Guitar Center is always lying to sell the warranty and that I should speak to the manager of the store. Sales guy conveniently left that part out. This means that I can only spend the money ar the store that originally lied to me. NOW THE SCAM: First she tells me that I will need to send it in, then she tells me that I will be cut a TWO-PARTY Check with Guitar Center.
I let her know that the support program from Behringer is inadequate and I cannot program the thing to do what I need it to do (true, but hardly a real issue since there are work-arounds). She asked me what was wrong with the item (There is nothing wrong with it, I just wanted to register it). HERE"S where I decided to see how I was screwed (I am a bit of a paranoid guy and NEVER trust salespeople). The nice girl on the line then informed me that I was registered already. I called the number when I got back to my office. I let the salesperson know what was up, and he printed my receipt out and wrote the number on the back. Well, I never got said registration package in the mail, so I went by GUITARd CENTER on my lunch to see if they could resend the package. They will send you info in the mail to register the item. Just call them up and tell them it's broken. The saleman decribed it as such: After 3 months, if you have ANY problems with the equipment - mechanical problems, user inflicted damage, shoddy design, whatever reason you have that it doesn't work, the warranty company will cut you a check for the cost of the item.
SCAM.īought the BCR2000 Paid the $20 for the Replacement Warrantee. I would be remiss if I didn't warn my friends here and everywhere else I can get the word out.ĭO NOT BUY THE "Performance Guarantee" or "Replacement Warrantee" or whatever they call it at Guitard Center.
